Construction and Public Liability Insurance
This type of insurance is not mandatory in most cases but we would strongly
recommend it prior to commencing the project to protect yourself
against the following circumstances:
- Theft of materials, fittings and fixtures
- Malicious damage and vandalism
- Storm, wind, water or fire damage
- Third party, personal injury or property damage
As a bonus the insured value is increased at no cost to you to include
(in the event of a major claim):
- An automatic allowance of 10% of the total insured value to pay for
demolition and removal of debris
- A further 10% of the total insured value to pay for professional fees
Did you know that many Public Liability Policies don't protect you from negligence claims by your Subcontractors?
Relax with our policy we include Worker To Worker Cover and Cross Liability which will protect you against any negligence claims from your contractors.
Many owner-builders make the simple mistake of under-insuring their project. When insuring you must insure for the Full Replacement Value, not just your cost to build. As a guide you should try to insure for what it would cost to use a builder. This way if you have a major claim you won't be left out of pocket.
You may spend a few extra dollars on the premium, but it could save you thousands in the long run!.
Our policies are available Australia wide and are suitable for Owner-Builders.
